Take Everything / My NEW Single
“Hooo ooor mnayeem maurf gni thear vleh guess nada owoogh.”
That’s the chorus of “Take Everything,” the first single from my new album, “Take a Bow” (out May 4th), spelled out phonetically, the way that I had to sing it for the music video. Clearly I didn’t think about how difficult it was going to be to learn my entire song backwards when I decided on a reversed video idea.I haven’t done homework like that since college (that’s not true, I never did any homework in college. I don’t even really know why I went). To put it in perspective, the entire song took me about 3 days to record in the studio. It took me four days to learn it backwards. We’ll leak out a few sneak peeks very soon for your viewing pleasure. The song, however, will be released in its (forward) entirety on iTunes THIS Tuesday, March 2nd! Oh, and this song is NOT the same song as the one also named “Take Everything” on my covers EP. They don’t even share a mom.
